1936 - Charles Gattuso, Sr. opens original Gattuso’s Music in Downtown Canton, Ohio at 216 Market Ave. S..
1940’s - New location of 130 Market Avenue. Proudly servicing local schools and institutions. Large teaching and instrument repair staff.

1960’s - New and larger location of 1426 Cleveland Avenue. Large inventory featuring name brand musical instruments and PA gear. The Gattuso brothers (Chuck, Rick and Denny) grew up in this business, providing many local professional musicians with their start in music at this store!

1977 -Business moved to 1300 Market Avenue location where employees and family persevered and built an even stronger musical presence in the community.

1980’s - State of the Art recording studio added to the current location. Hundreds of local and national music acts recorded in this space. Still functioning today!

1990’s to early 2000’s the store transitioned, yet the Gattuso name still remained a retail music staple in the community. In the early 2000’s, Gattuso’s Music and More was established and returned to its sole purpose of keeping its simple policy where “the musician comes first”.
Currently (2018-present) - Owned and operated by a 3rd Generation Gattuso (Marcella) the brick and mortar store is still located at 1300 Market Ave. Proudly serving Stark county and surrounding communities, our staff of professional musicians, repair techs and audio/video engineers continues to keep Canton ROCKIN’!
